Noosa is genuinely one of the most stunning places in Australia to get married โ and the hardest part is choosing just one venue. Whether you’re dreaming of saying “I do” with your toes in the sand or surrounded by lush hinterland rainforest, there’s something here that’ll make your jaw drop. We’ve pulled together our four absolute favourites: two beautiful beach locations and two magical hinterland escapes.
Noosa Main Beach
You can’t really go past Noosa Main Beach for sheer wow factor. The calm, north-facing bay means you’ll almost always have glassy water, golden sand, and that gorgeous soft Queensland light doing all the heavy lifting for your photos. It’s naturally protected by the national park headland, so it stays beautifully calm even when it’s breezy further up the coast.
Ceremonies here tend to be intimate and personal โ think barefoot in the sand, a simple arch of native florals, and the sound of the waves as you exchange your vows. It pairs perfectly with a cocktail reception at a nearby Hastings Street venue, or even a relaxed sunset dinner on the beachfront.
The Noosa Boathouse
If you love that breezy, river-life vibe, the Noosa Boathouse is an absolute gem. Sitting right on the edge of the Noosa River in Noosaville, it’s got that effortlessly cool, sun-drenched feel that Noosa does so well. The open-air deck overlooking the water is seriously hard to beat for a cocktail hour โ watching the boats drift by while your guests mingle with drinks in hand is just pure Noosa.
It’s also a genuinely flexible venue. They can host ceremonies, cocktail receptions, and sit-down dinners across multiple indoor and outdoor spaces, which makes logistics a lot easier. Plus, the food is consistently excellent โ always a bonus when you’re feeding a crowd you love.
๐ธ Don’t forget the music
Live music is what takes a wedding from great to genuinely unforgettable. Ocean Live performs across all of Noosa’s top venues โ from ceremony acoustic sets to full reception bands that’ll keep your guests dancing all night.
Check availability โSpicers Clovelly Estate
Spicers Clovelly Estate is a bit of a hinterland fairytale. Nestled in the lush hills above Montville, this stunning property features incredible gardens, sweeping countryside views, and an atmosphere that feels genuinely secluded and special โ even though you’re only about 40 minutes from Noosa.
The property itself is gorgeous โ manicured gardens ideal for outdoor ceremonies, beautiful heritage architecture for the reception, and the kind of rustic-luxe aesthetic that photographs magnificently. It’s also a boutique accommodation venue, so you and your closest family can stay on-site โ no rushing anywhere on the morning of your wedding.
Maleny Manor
Maleny Manor has a well-earned reputation as one of the most spectacular wedding venues in Southeast Queensland โ and honestly, one visit and you’ll see exactly why. Set high in the Sunshine Coast hinterland with uninterrupted views over rolling green hills toward the Glasshouse Mountains, the backdrop alone is enough to make guests gasp.
The manor itself is architecturally stunning โ a grand European-style property with manicured grounds, an ornate chapel, and an elegant ballroom for the reception. It’s the kind of venue that handles larger weddings with ease, meaning you don’t have to stress about fitting in the whole extended family. The team there are also wonderfully experienced โ they’ve seen it all and make sure the day runs beautifully.
Quick tip: Most Noosa venues book out 12โ18 months ahead for peak season (October to March). If you’ve got a date in mind, it’s worth locking in both your venue and your live entertainment at the same time โ good bands fill up just as fast as good venues.
How to choose between beach and hinterland
It really comes down to the vibe you’re going for. Beach weddings in Noosa have that effortless, sun-soaked energy โ relaxed, romantic, and genuinely cinematic. They tend to suit smaller, more intimate guest lists, and the natural setting does most of the styling work for you.
Hinterland venues, on the other hand, give you more control. You get a dedicated, private space โ usually with indoor and outdoor options โ which means you’re less at the mercy of weather, and you tend to have more flexibility with timing and setup. They’re also stunning in their own right; the lush greens and rolling hills of the Noosa hinterland are world-class.
Either way, you can’t really go wrong. Noosa has a way of making everything look beautiful โ it’s basically cheating.
Why live music makes all the difference
We might be a little biased here, but hear us out. Live music at a wedding does something that a playlist simply can’t โ it reads the room, it builds energy in real time, and it creates moments that your guests will genuinely remember for years. There’s something magical about watching a room full of people you love completely let loose on the dance floor to a live band playing all the songs you grew up with.
All four of these venues are absolutely suited to live performance โ from a solo acoustic guitarist for the ceremony to a DJ for the evening. Ocean Live performs across the Noosa region regularly, so we know these spaces well and can help you figure out what setup will work best for your day.
